From Wicked to The Cher Show leading lady Stephanie J. Block is one of our Broadway favourites.
Last night Stephanie J. Block won her first Tony Award at 74th Annual Tony Awards for her role of Cher in The Cher Show. Stephanie has been nominated twice before for her role of Trina in Falsettos and Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
Stephanie J. Block made her Broadway debut as Liza Minnelli in The Boy from Oz starring alongside Hugh Jackman. Since then her Broadway credits include, Wicked, The Pirate Queen and 9 to 5 the Musical.

2. Elphaba in Wicked
Stephanie J. Block as been part of Wicked since the very beginning as she portrayed the role of Elphaba in the early readings of the Wicked back in the early 2000’s. She then performed as understudy in the San Francisco tryouts and originated the role of Elphaba on the first national tour in 2005. She then later reprised the role of Elphaba on Broadway in 2007 at The Gershwin Theatre.
