Rebecca Caine was full of emotion after seeing a poster in the window of a fellow actress’ house with lyrics from the show.

With the UK in unprecedented times due to the coronavirus, Emma Rowbotham quoted Les Misérables in a message of defiance stating “Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise”.

Rebecca – who played Cosette in the original London production of the show – posted a card to Emma saying “your lovely sign made me cry”.

The lyrics come from the Epilogue at the end of the musical – and can be heard below in the film version of the scene.
