After 23 years with the show, Lyn has left the role of Mrs Johnstone.
Her final bow has come earlier than anticipated due to theatres across the UK being dark amid the coronavirus crisis.
Lyn was scheduled to conclude her farewell tour with the production at Lichfield’s Garrick Theatre in early April.
So sad that I never got the chance to say goodbye to my fellow actors on Blood Brothers. Its been such a massive part of my life and I’m devastated that it’s ended like this. Thank you Mr K for trusting me with Mrs J for the last 23 yrs. @BKL_Productions 😥

Lyn first played the role in 1997 and regularly performed in the West End and on national tours with the show until 2010, before revisiting the part again more recently.
In a touching tweet, Lyn thanked Bill Kenwright for allowing her to perform as the struggling mother for such a long time but says she’s “devastated that it’s ended like this”.
As well as Blood Brothers, Lyn’s appeared in a range of shows including Footloose – The Musical, Taboo and Cabaret.
