Encore Radio’s ‘Rising Stars of 2019’ is a celebration of musical theatre graduates across the UK.

Each week, we are showcasing two rising stars from drama schools up and down the country. These students have been nominated by their school and this week we are celebrating the students from Mountview.

Kat Ronney

Kat is graduating from Mountview with a BA (Hons) Musical Theatre. While at Mountview Kat has played Nancy Blackett in Swallows and Amazons directed by Steve Grihault and Whatshername in American Idiot directed by Josh Seymour. She has also performed in Sweeney Todd directed by Sally Ann Gritton and appeared in Magic at the Musicals 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall.

Jordan Crouch 

Jordan is graduating from Mountview with a BA (Hons) Musical Theatre. While at Mountview Jordan has played Bobby Child in Crazy for You directed by Paul Foster and Private Harry Sparrow in Brass directed by Benjamin Till. He has also performed in Sweeney Todd directed by Sally Ann Gritton and appeared in Magic at the Musicals 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall.

About Mountview:

Mountview was the first drama school in Europe to offer a vocational three-year training in Musical Theatre and since 1992 has been one of the world’s leading musical theatre trainers. The intensive BA (Hons) course trains students for 36 hours a week, 36 weeks of the year, for three years, developing technical skills through practical classes, workshops and performance with an equal split between the three essential musical theatre skills: acting, singing and dance.
