Seussical The Musical is coming to London in November.
The show, based on the children’s books by Dr Seuss, and produced by Immersion Theatre, will be performed at Southwark Playhouse (The Large), from 22nd November – 29th December 2018.
Seussical The Musical, co-conceived by Monty Python’s Eric Idle, is described as “an intelligent, hilarious and moving piece of theatre whose themes, plot, characters, and score resonate and entertain audiences of all ages.”
Marc Pickering will star as the mischievous Cat in the Hat in the musical extravaganza, joined by Scott Paige as the warm-hearted Horton the Elephant and Amy Perry as the humble Gertrude McFuzz.
Katie Paine will play the vivacious Mayzie La Bird alongside Ngozi Ugoh who will play Sour Kangaroo, and Anna Barnes who plays Jojo, a ‘thinker’ with a wild imagination.
The cast is completed by Daisy Steere, Adam Dawson, Robbie Fell, Rhys Benjamin, Marianna Neofitou and Sarah Spence.
Director James Tobias said: “Finding a cast who are able to bring these fantastical, over the top characters to life whilst retaining their truth, heart and integrity is, in my opinion, one of the key ingredients to the success of a show like this.
“I could not be more thrilled with the company we have assembled and feel immensely privileged and excited to be working with such exceptional talent, on stage and off, to create an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages this Christmas.”
