The 30th-anniversary tour of Fame the Musical arrives in London next year.
It has announced a West End transfer to the Peacock Theatre from 11 September 2019 – October 19 2019.
Fame the Musical, based on the 1980 film, and directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, is currently on an extensive UK tour.
A star cast for the London show is yet to be announced.
David De Silva, known as ‘Father Fame’ for conceiving, developing and producing the movie, said: “What makes a musical ‘a classic’ or a ‘masterpiece’? It takes time. It passes from one generation to the next. It translates from one language to many. It entertains an audience with both laughter and tears. It inspires youth with passion and parents with nostalgia.
“The brilliantly directed and choreographed 30th anniversary Fame Uk production of the show by Nick Winston is the best I’ve ever seen.”
Tickets are on sale from 1 October.
