To celebrate Father’s Day, let’s enjoy some of the best songs from the Dads of musical theatre!

1. Mufasa – The Lion King
Shaun Escoffery’s played Mufasa in the West End for over 12 years and this is a stunning version of him performing He Lives In You with his on stage son, Nick Afoa, who plays Simba.

2. Tevye – Fiddler on the Roof
Despite his daughters testing their father’s traditional values, Tevye’s love is too strong to turn his back on his children.

3. Larry Murphy – Dear Evan Hansen
Evan’s father left him when he was young, so he finds the paternal love he needs from the Dad of his crush, Zoe. Evan and Larry bond over baseball gloves.

4. Aaron Burr & Alexander Hamilton – Hamilton
In Dear Theodosia, Burr and Hamilton welcome their respective children – Philip and Theodosia – into the world and promise to fight to make the world a better place for them.

5. Marvin – Falsettos
As Act One comes to a close, Marvin sits down with Jason to tell him he’ll be there for him whatever happens in life.
