Duncan James is one of the UK's most loved music and theatre personalities. At the age of 15 he played Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Dr Watson in Sherlock Holmes for Sidmouth Youth Theatre.
He co-founded the group Blue alongside Antony Costa, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe in early 2000. In 2001 they released their debut album All Rise which reached number one in the UK Albums Chart, selling in excess of 1.8 million albums in the UK alone. Their following two albums One Love and Guilty also stormed the chart to reach No.1.
After a small break from music, Duncan returned in May 2006 with his solo single "Sooner or Later" and solo album Future Past.
Duncan's stage credits include the West End productions of Chicago.(2007), Legally Blonde (2009) in which he played Warner Huntington III opposite Sheridan Smith as Elle, and Aoife Mulholland as Brooke, and the natioanl tour of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert (2016).
On TV, he has presented Grease: the School Musical, Hannah-Oke on Disney Channel, ITV2's coverage of the TV series Soapstar Superstar, and GMTV's Entertainment Today.
He's also served as a judge on Don't Stop Believing for Channel 5, and was judged himself on ITV1's Dancing on Ice when he made it to the grand final alongside rugby player Kyran Bracken and actress Clare Buckfield.
He will soon be returning to the stage at The Theatre Royal in Plymouth alongside Leslie Joseph in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs and can currently be seen playing Ryan Knight 5 nights a week in Channel 4's longstanding soap opera Hollyoaks.
